Dr Harry Southworth, director of Data Clarity Consulting Ltd, has
18 years' experience working as a statistician in
the pharmaceutical industry including posts as the head of the Safety
Statistics group and of the Personalized Healthcare Statistics
group.
Publishing innovative approaches
to the analysis of clinical trial safety
data, and on interactive visualizations of safety data,
Harry went on to
demonstrate how extreme value modelling can be used to identify toxic
effects of drugs – work which won him the
Award for Statistical Excellence in the Pharmaceutical
Industry
from the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) and
Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry (PSI).
Dr Southworth has presented at national and international
conferences and meetings, including the Drug Information
Association conference, several PSI meetings, Royal Statistical
Society events, the US FDA's Drug Induced Liver Injury conference,
and was invited speaker at the Joint FMS/DSBS statisticians'
meeting in 2016.
He also holds the post of Honorary Visiting Fellow at the University of York.
